Feeding Your Brain

What are you feeding your brain these days?

Just like our bodies, our brains need good, quality nourishment with a supplement or two.

If you're like most people, you have a stack of books waiting to be read.

What is on your bedside table right now?

  1. Tears in the Darkness - a book about the Bataan Death March that I'm going to read to prep for the Bataan Memorial Death March on 3/21

Jane Eyre - always. I have about a dozen copies; they're all over my house. Never know when you might need an emergency Jane Eyre moment.

    Runner's World

A printout of a story from Vanity Fair about John Hughes

  2. Cutting for Stone - awesome novel about a doctor raised as an orphan with his twin at a Mission hospital in Ethiopia. So good.

Also recently finished The Help (totally recommend) and if you're into historical fiction, the Josephine B trilogy is great! A facinating character in history, but I knew nothing about her!

  3. Thanks Beth and Mel! Makes me realize I need to read more fiction...

  4. Nudge - a book about steering people to make better decisions. Interesting.

The Sookie Stackhouse Novels (I am on book 2). This is the series that HBOs True Blood is based on - love some Vampire Stories!

Next on my list is the Zone and The Paleo Diet.

  5. Ooh, I could use a Nudge! Paleo Diet is not worth reading. I have it and you can borrow it. It has some weird things in it like "aspartame is ok in small doses"- Robb Wolf says on one of his podcasts that Cordain's work got a little stretched when the book came out....
